Angaben zur Gattung

• Typusart: Apatelodes kotzschi Draudt, 1929 [Originalbezeichnung]
• Etymologie: The generic name is a tribute to Cécile Fatiman, ancestral priestess of the cult of the Lwa, better known as voduns. Voodoo was the religion of the Africans brought to Haiti. Cécile, alongside Dutty Boukman, was responsible for the most important Voodoo ceremony in the history of Haiti, which was the Bwa Kayiman ceremony in August 1791, in which everyone committed themselves to the fight for freedom, and everyone there had a mission to take revenge on their French oppressors, thus starting the Haitian revolution. After a week, 1800 plantations had already been destroyed and 1000 slave owners were killed.
