- Etymologie: The specific epithet is derived from the Municipality of Chámeza, a geopolitical area where the type locality is located. We decided on this name using a citizen science approach, where expert scientists and local people met and discussed a list of possible names and their corresponding meanings. There was consensus on P. chamezensis as the preferred name.
